At Fitch Irick, our mission extends far beyond the development and management of affordable housing. The work we do each day is grounded in the belief that strong communities are built on both shelter and support—through acts of care, connection, and service.
This fall, our employees continued that tradition with a renewed focus on giving. From food drives that help fill backpacks and family pantries to coat donations that provide warmth during colder months, these efforts reflect what has always guided Fitch Irick’s culture: collective compassion and a commitment to community well-being.
Together, our teams have embraced opportunities to make a meaningful difference, one initiative at a time.
The “Spread the Love” Drive
Our fall giving season began with the “Spread the Love: Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive,” an effort that brought teams across Fitch Irick together to collect pantry staples for families in need. Every jar donated went directly to Feeding America partner programs, helping fill backpacks for students, stock senior food boxes, and support households facing food insecurity.
While simple in concept, the drive carried a lasting impact. It reminded us that generosity isn’t measured by scale but by shared purpose. Each contribution reflected the values that guide Fitch Irick’s mission—community, care, and collaboration.
Warming Hearts: The Upcoming Coat Drive
As the temperature drops, our focus shifts from food to warmth. This October, Fitch Irick launches its Coat Drive in partnership with the Salvation Army. All coats collected will go to individuals and families who need them most during the colder months.
This initiative mirrors our approach to affordable housing: meeting essential needs with dignity and compassion. Providing something as simple as a warm coat can make a difference—and through collective action, we extend comfort and security beyond our properties and into the communities around us.
Looking Back: The Back to School Drive
Before the start of the fall season, Fitch Irick employees participated in the Back to School Supply Drive, supporting Classroom Central and local students. Teams across the company donated backpacks, notebooks, and supplies to help children begin the school year ready to learn.
The effort reflected our belief that opportunity begins at home and extends into the classroom. By supporting education, we help empower the next generation of residents and leaders who will shape the communities we serve.
Carrying the Spirit of Giving Forward
At Fitch Irick, we believe that building strong communities begins with shared action. Our giving initiatives aren’t just about the items collected—they’re about the values they represent: compassion, inclusion, and shared responsibility.
Each act of service, no matter how small, reinforces the foundation of trust and connection that makes communities thrive. The same collaboration that drives our work in affordable housing fuels our commitment to community impact. Whether through housing stability, educational support, or essential resources, every effort moves us closer to a future defined by care and opportunity.
As we continue this season of generosity, we invite our partners, residents, and peers to stay connected and inspired. Together, we can continue to build not just homes—but hope, dignity, and resilience.
