Fitch Irick is proud to announce the opening of Bulls Creek Apartments, a brand new affordable 62-unit housing complex in the West Ashley neighborhood of Charleston, South Carolina. City leaders, including Mayor John Tecklenburg, attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the official opening on Aug 16, 2022. Bulls Creek is the first project to be completed using a $20 million affordable housing referendum approved by the voters of Charleston in 2017.
Bulls Creek has 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments for families of all sizes, and every apartment is already furnished with new stainless steel appliances and other home necessities. Every apartment is designed to be comfortable and beautiful, with wide balconies and landscaped flowers. Onsite maintenance and management strive to give Bulls Creek residents the best possible quality of life. Open spaces with shade provided by oak trees allow for and encourage a healthy lifestyle. Bulls Creek demonstrates that affordable housing can be modern and charming, which encourages generations of folks to thrive.
As of this posting, we are proud to announce 100% occupancy at Bulls Creek. This underscores the massive need for affordable housing in Charleston that will hopefully be alleviated by future projects. These affordable apartments are available to families making less than 60% of the median income for the Charleston area.
